She is the senior most CM (after Naveen patnaik) and is a prominent opposition voice against BJP… nothing wrong in trying to unite the opposition before presidential elections.. 

Opposition lekapothe chala kashtam… rulers will become autocratic and dictatorial.. 

i understand Jagan skipping this as he is sucking up to BJp… not sure why kcr skipped this…
