Historically it has been the case that the party of the President loses in the mid-terms - this even happened to Obama who perhaps in recent times was one of the most popular Presidents in the US. 

So, history suggests that Republicans should make impressive gains in the mid-terms. The current inflation in the US is not helping matters for Biden at all.

Dems will lose mid terms and they will win again in next general election. Biden will not contest in upcoming presidential election most likely.

This is too early to predict but it seems like it.

Per convention and tradition it should be the vice-president which is Kamala Harris. But I suspect there will be a strong field of Dems to choose from - come the election time. 

I am actually worried about Biden's general health and his cognitive capabilities. He most probably may not run again. At 78 he already became the oldest to assume the office of presidency.
