Mumbai corporation is huge still the best run corporation in the country and biggest by a fair margin. Hyderabad corporation revenue is some 5-6k, most of it goes to the salaries and maintenance, as a corporation Mumbai and Delhi are the only self sustained corporations in the country - Hyderabad can’t invest in any new roads or infrastructure without the help of state government and in that regard Mumbai corporation is lot more independent and even run its own city bus/train services(BEST) unlike no corporation in the country. Corruption might be there but it exists more at the high level than at low level, conducting a business in Mumbai is as professional as it can be, it starts with as simple as no harassment fromauto or taxiwalas, from that one observation you can tell if a city is corrupt or not, if you board a auto in Mumbai there is no question of bargaining they simply turn the meter on. It is the only Indian city I felt this.

With power you can whole India as it is the financial capital of the country, 80% of elections sponsorships come from here in some form or the other, last assembly elections ayina taruvata local businessmen sided with sena over bjp, one of the main reasons bjp went silent for 3 years. 2024 elections ki controlling money  supply starts from here, supply in the sense fro example  it is a matter of ambani sponsoring a state election or a candidate and if doesn’t they will use bureaucracy to trouble him
