Brands has nothing to do with local/national. That now how liquor is classified and sold. Blenders Pride is a brand, which is manufactured by a dozen private players and these guys pay royalty to the brand owners. When government retails liquor, it becomes monopoly and distilleries see no point to introduce brands as it is waste of royalty.

Second, every batch of liquor produced a sample is tested by govt labs before it is retailed. AP, TG or UP/MP aina the procedure is same.
