With kids, somewhat challenging as you can't sit on the table with kid...

Say we are staying here as well as it's a hub with cheap airfares and decent hotels...

Grand Canyon lo emundi vaa.. matti kondaku thappa… you can also skip hover dam.. Go to Horse shoe canyon (check if there is any water there) and monument valley.. 

Vegas lo Fremont street, all casinos for different architecture… Paris tower (and see the fountains from there)… lot of kids friendly shows and casinos there to see.. just avoid the night time walk on the strip… your father might like it but your mom won’t 😄

I was at the Northrim. My fav sport is the glass bridge, Skywalk. Also, the parts close by, abandoned mill. You are going with kids so, there horses and donkeys on the property as well. There was small village setup with stores.  Start early so, you can get nice views. It gets crowded super fast.
