Our ancestors always cautioned about petting pigeons in closed homes.

Intiki manchidi kaadu ani cheppe vallu..but the rule was put on based on science.

chepte janalaki ardham kaadu ani, intiki manchidi kaadu ani chepparu and people followed it.

infections are the reason.

Pets should always be outside home, even canines.

ala ante manollu cow dung and water kalipi intimundu jalle vaaru....danimeda muggulu pettevaru...how good is it?

In cold places, cow dung is used to line the walls of rustic houses as a cheap thermal insulator. Most of the villagers in India spray fresh cow dung mixed with water in front of the houses to repel insects.

I played with pigeons the same scene in NYC ..next day to 3 weeks  I had severe cough and cold..we thought it is covid but tested covid negative . Now with this post I got a clarity , the cough I got was because of pigeons.

@mirchi_bajji insects is the generic usage..

but cow dung prevents fleas which are carried by rodents like rats, squirrels etc.

intlo and gummam mundu kallapu challite, it prevents rodents is the reason.

mainly when the cow dung is baked or heated. Suns heat is enough to kill the bacteria within the dung.

this is going off topic to the thread title. stopping it here

Lol… you have half knowledge man…

Cow dung was not just used in “front of the houses” as you highlighted… it was also used to be applied “allover inside the houses on the floors”
