800 crores GPF money withdrawal by AP govt

Money has been debited from the GPF accounts of government employees and officials working in various districts across the state of Andhra Pradesh, said AP Government Employees Union leader Suryanarayana. There were messages last night that cash had been withdrawn from employees’ accounts. He claimed to have withdrawn Rs 83,000 from his personal account. Awareness was expressed that it was not known who took the money. It is alleged that PRC DA arrears will be credited to GPF accounts and DA arrears given for the last 6 months will be withdrawn again.
