There is larger hindu community who do their works to survive their lives 

also there is larger muslim or other community who do their works to survive their lives 

but there are some bad subsets of these both communities which are politically motivated

if they feel offended they will rub it on whole community irrespective of they do little that community

and drive them to polarization

Whatever you said is right, but somewhere since independence or per-independence, in the quest to appear as modern as possible to the western countries, India lost it's originality and forgot about it's roots, started ignoring majority of it's population which are the reason for it's soul, started pampering minorities, way too much than necessary to an extent that shaming the practices of the majority, and made them feel shameful even to follow their common harmless practices in public. Majority tolerated this non-sense for decades to a point that Chidambaram tried to coin new word Hindu-Terrorists for the sake of balancing the Islamic-Terrorism menace. Afterwards, it's all down hill, BJP utilized this atmosphere fully and came to the power. Things won't happen all of a sudden in overnight, for every goddamn scenario, there is always a source and series of events.
