It looks more like a game between states on who can corner majority share of the $60bn semiconductor fund Indian govt has announced.

there are dozens of companies in karnataka, telangana, tamilnadu making moves to corner this prize with state govts trying to help them by courting big names.

I wish there were more chip design firms like mbit wireless in chennai. You don't have to be qualcomm, but you can be mediatek level atleast. chip manufacturing at the moment is just broker's game. with majority of benefit going to the brokers who set up the deal. Unless there's extensive chip design, electronic design infra, the investment won't amount to much.

Hyderabad should spend on connecting with ports like Vizag and Chennai, its now 11 hrs. to each of these ports making Hyderabad bad place for importing raw materials from outside country, just like what MH is doing with Mumbai and Nagpur, Nagpur is competing with Hyd in Defense manufacturing

every two bit company is trying to rope in a 'global partner' to get that $60bn fund.

what does vedanta or even foxconn have to do with semiconductor manufacturing? but they are teasing many govts with potential investments.

dude, companies will eventually come. If India just targets its import policy or create obstacles for them to sell in India.

ask your govt to handle inflation first.

state/city  govts revenue is a somewhat better measure.. but even here a lot of taxation power lies with the center, so you won't quantify a lot of activity.

Hyd is one of the premier cities in India. definitely top 5. Its inevitable that it is going to attract a lot of investments.

my problem with this is something else entirely. I have problem with the title of this thread. indirectly insisting that this is how govts should be run.

Illiterate they are not going to build new air craft engines in Hyderabad… it’s a LEAP engine maintenance and overhaul facility for domestic customers … akkada nundi vastharu ra ayya 

in addition they are going to produce seals for engine…
