I wish there were more chip design firms like mbit wireless in chennai. You don't have to be qualcomm, but you can be mediatek level atleast. chip manufacturing at the moment is just broker's game. with majority of benefit going to the brokers who set up the deal. Hyd is one of the premier cities in India. definitely top 5. Its inevitable that it is going to attract a lot of investments. my problem with this is something else entirely.
