If you hate every person who supports congress, start with your parents and grand parents.

For they are the root cause of all the ills. Maybe, they made a wise choice that is beyond your understanding. Maybe, they understood and desired to protect our secular and social fabric more. Maybe, they understood that governance and religion are mutually exclusive. Maybe..

Alternatively, try talking to them on why they made that choice. One of you would be wiser. And maybe, it will Dawn on you of what true patriotism is all about..

Because, some day, your children and grand children will ask you why you voted for BJP and why you didn't see their devious and evil designs. They will ask you why you were a spectator when the idea of India was being demolished, brick by brick. And you wouldn't have a place to hide.

Talk to your parents. Grand parents. Now.

For all the blame that Congress and Gandhi's receive for all the ills of India even in 2022, here is how Congress was voted to power by our parents and grand parents:

1951: Congress won a landslide - Won 364 of the 489 seats; 48 million or 45% of the popular vote; 4 times more votes than the closest party.

1957: Congress won 371 of the 494 seats; 58 million or 48% of popular vote; a positive swing of 2.8%; five times more votes than the  closest party.

1962: Congress won 361/494 seats and polled 45% votes; 4.5 times of it's closest rival.

1967: Post Nehru era. Indira Gandhi reigned. Congress won 283/520 seats. Vote share dwindled to 41%. The Swatantra Party with 8.8% vote share and headed by C Rajagopala Chari became a contender. DMK emerged and won a landslide in TN. Economy suffered post 1962 and 1965 wars and growth slumped to 2 4% from a promised 5.6% and Congress suffered.

1971: The first serious opposition that Indira faced. A United coalition with 6 parties get together. Congress won 352/520 seats with a vote share of 44% against the coalitions 24%. Congress had a positive swing of 3% vote share. The Bharatiya Jana Sangh, a political arm of RSS,  made it's debut with 7.35% votes and won 22 seats. Jana Sangh and Communist were in a coalition to oppose INC and Indira Gandhi. The objective was to dethrone Indira Gandhi.

1977: The post emergency election had a determined and united opposition fighting as Janata alliance under the Lok Dal symbol. They won 345/542 seats with 51% vote share  INC alliance won 189 seats only with a 41% vote share.

- Morarji Desai was one of the leaders along with Jagjivan Ram, Acharya Kriplani, Raj Narayan, Charan Singh and Jai Prakash Narayan. He was JP's choice when consensus failed. In 1979, He resigned after infighting and Charran Singh took over. In 1980, after a prolonged period  of instability, elections were held again.

1980: Indira Gandhi voted back. Wins 374/542 seats; 43% vote share. 9% positive swing. Opposition routed.

1984: Indira Assassinated. Rajiv in. Wins 414/542 seats; 49% vote share; 6% vote swing. Landslide.

1989: Bofors, Sri Lanka and terrorism in Punjab takes it's toll. Congress with 197/542 and 40% vote share is the largest party but the opposition led by VP Singh forms a post poll coalition and forms Govt. BJP led by LK Advani wins 85 seats with 11% vote share.

1991: United opposition lasts just 16 months. Rajiv Gandhin assasinated during elections. PV Narasimha Rao becomes the PM. Congress wins 244/542 seats.

1996 - AB Vajpayee forms a coalition government. BJP has just 20% vote share and wins 161/542 seats.

1999 - Mid term elections. BJP Consolidates, Wins 182 seats with 23% vote share. Forms a coalition again.

2004 - Congress makes a come back. BJP loses vote share and seats. Sonia refuses to be PM. MMS chosen to lead nation.

2009 -  Congress increases vote share by 3% to 29% and wins 206 seats. Forms a government again. MMS continues as PM.

your grand parents and parents will be cursing their decision now that the youth had to leave country for livelihood

its only after damage one realizes the mistakes they did, not during or before

people today realized what mistakes their grand parent did and willing to correct their mistakes
