Is constructing a home in India a better idea?

Kids are born in USA, but we got a plot on which We are planning to construct a home, cost might go up to 1 cr for construction. Monthly rents may be 40,000 rs max ($550 approx)

Please express your opinions.

My thoughts are:

1) stability or future security

2) monthly income

3) a little bit of financial freedom.

Planning a house in india is worst investment unless you are moving, I know a case where one of my relative in india bought 30 acres of farming land close to 1.5 cr worth in total in 2007 and those acres are worth more than 100 crs now.

Plan wise and you can become a big millionaire in india than you can ever become in usa

Monthly income kosam aithe waste…let the plot appreciate its value on its own..

niku vache 50k kosam 1 cr invest chestunav ante you should think twice…plus the hassle of managing the rental property.

Its like evado vundadaniki nee resources poll in chesi, nee time invest chesi, vallaki illu katti istunnav…

Ave 1 cr ekadaina invest chesuko…simple ga FD chesina niku 6-7 lakhs vastayi which is as much as you get In rentals but without ZERO risk…

If you plan on going back to India and living there then yes, otherwise save every $ in US..

Nothing wrong in investing (residential/commercial real estate) in India, even if you are not going back.

Plot ni alane vadilesthe… evado okadu kabja chesi minguthadu… especially when you are an NRI… building a construction is nothing but shielding your plot from such risks…. Plot value appreciates anyway.

The risk is always these. Plot kabza chesinodu illu kabza cheyaleda ? Owner NRI ani telisthe renters matram emi advantage teesukokunda vuntara ?

Open plot is much more valuable than the one with a home…epatikaina.

Plot kabza anedi various situations lo aitadi…but in the coming days, plot kabza avadam takuve kani extortion chances will be more.

Stupidest idea nannu adigitheee from every angle.

1 crore investment on construction is a dead investment. 40k per month consistent ga 25 years vasthe thappaaa Neeku break even avvadhuuu. In the mean time construction will detoriate due to wear and tear. It’s a huge bokka.

Buy lands in tier 2 cities of TG. Inka HYD anukuntaaa kusooomakandiii. There will be a time when TG will be more than just HYD/

1Cr ante it will be easily 1.5Cr minimum.... AP lo J tax for Sand and Cement. TG lo HYD ayythe pinky leader, outside aythe pinky chemchalu....

also getting rent and maintanance is huge pain, and need to find the right tenant and if they dont stay for long the rotation is hard to maintain and if you find someone and they stay more than 12 years you can vacate them

Don’t listen to ‘financial experts’ in this DB. Go by your gut feeling and execute what your mind says. Keeping yourself happy is top priority. Keep it simple.

Home+plot together ani untadhi…. value always…. Construction can never become a liability unless it is done poorly.
