Ryzen_renoir
Chattisgarh spent only 6210 crs on loan waiver , Telangana's annual agriculture current subsidy is more than it No state govt spents as much as Telangana on agricultural subsidies and it actually ** up state finances. Debt has roughly doubled since 2019 , state's unable to pay salary on time since covid

Thokkalee
Farm loans doesn’t have to be waived.. the farmers should be allowed to sell their produce to whoever they want… with govt buying all of it from the farmers, they are getting the money long after they sold it… they have to take loans to start their next crop.. if they get money immediately, not many people have to take fresh loans.. also keeping the fertilizer prices in control also helps greatly

I personally know of farmers who avail 1.5-3 lakh farm loan every year. Congress should be blamed for cultivating this bad habit of farm loan waivers instead of taking credit.
