Gst is aimed at destroying small business

The numbers before covid prove it all. The ground reality is that Goods and Services Tax (GST) has grounded the economy. Our GDP growth rate has slipped from 7.1 per cent in 2016-17 to 6.7 per cent in 2017-18. The revenue collections of the Central government had been growing at an average rate of 15 per cent from 2006 to 2014. The GST collections in July 2017 were Rs 94k crore.

They have inched up marginally to Rs 96k crore in June 2018. The growth rate in revenue collections has slipped from 15 per cent to 2 per cent. This grounding of the economy is not due to the so-called glitches of implementations. Rather these are results of the very structure of GST.

GST has killed small and medium enterprise (SMEs) and handed over their businesses to the big businesses on a platter. That has grounded the economy. SMEs contribute to the economy in two especial ways. They use more labour and less machines. They generate employment. The resulting incomes of the workers and small businesses generates demand in the market.

Even the farmers bill was meant to destroy the micro agriculture and help bada babus to directly take the gain on biggest income source -- agriculture sector in the country.

Modi know the WhatsApp univerisity and his blind followers will call it a huge great bill even before it is announced.

They will come up with systematic propaganda with PPT on WhatsApp and facebooks..but the real numbers always prove his failures.
