I've heard derogatory comments from Telugu people about tamils since I was a kid. does the reverse happen? yes, it does. and I will call them out too. they don't exist in this db.

but I tell my personal experience with sambaaarr people...

When I was working in bangaloreee.... recruitment side like hrR etc majority sambaar people undey vaalu....they used to give advs in chennaiii also for bangaloree positions...all recruitment, hiring will be from sambaaar land...

Maa lead and managerssss kooda sambaaar ey...somehow...naaku konni ekkuva skills unai ani ..naa laaga kondharni like 3-4 people other state vaalani theesukunaaru...but they only encourage sambaaar people....for on-site or hikes...team awards etc   but nenu Ukk velli poyaaa aaa next year...but others who continued there were not getting equal recognition ani chepthundey....I have seen many kannada people hating sambaaar people to the core....I used to only observe things..since I'm only teluguuu guys there...few are from gujjuU land....

Vomericaa la mana teluguu people (different cassettes :)) though...chaala mandiri chepaaru.....may be I bet you...you will meet someone saying sambaaarr xxxx around you sometime...kindly note sambaarrrr is not invented by me ..

Plzz check their movies...very rare they cast people from outside states...don't give an example of rajinNnikaanth...etc....

cinema industry vadiley. If their movies have market in AP/TG, they will hire telugu talent. Telugu industry is much bigger than Tamil and are making movies to attract a bigger audience outside of AP/TG, but Tamils are going more and more local.

Their biggest blockbusters are purely made to cater to the lowest denominator fans in TamilNadu. They don't cater to any person in AP/TG. AP/TG lo aadithey, adhi just bonus vaallaki.

Telugu lo balakrishna/maheshbob cinemalu teesko, that is what Tamil blockbusters are. But with a slightly wider variety of local stories. anthey. but ultimately it is made for the enjoyment of Tamils, not others. Even as someone who was born in Chennai, I'm no longer able to enjoy Tamil blockbuster movies. That is the level to which Tamils have started looking inward. But still there's no racism in Tamil pop culture. they do make fun of Andhra now and then, but only in good humor. They made an entire movie to mock chalukya king pulikeshi, and still there are no racist comments in the movie about kannadigas. Only references to how they don't give water - stuff like that.

to ask why they don't hire Telugu talent is insane. Kota is an exceptional intergenerational talent, and will have no problem being hired in Tamil, but most others do need to spend a considerable amount of time in the industry to learn the ropes of the industry. Not just Telugus, even Tamils have a problem being hired in Tamil movie industry. Just like everywhere, they've got to suck up to producers/directors, be their slave for a long period of time until luck shines upon them. Its the same story everywhere. Even in Krishna Nagar.

Kota is an amazing actor, but seems to be talking out of his arse when it comes to telugu/tamil industries. He probably expects telugu artists to be given the king's treatment in Tamil. Its not gonna happen. If Telugu producers/directors are giving kings treatment to Tamil artists, may be its time they stopped being losers like that too. It doesn't mean Tamils are racist, in general.

even if Tamil people are all bad, it still makes zero sense to talk about them derogatorily within a group of Telugus. Go tell them what you feel, if you think you are right. Confront their bigotry.

my own mama - a very soft spoken mild mannered zamindar type person, used to jokingly call me sambhar when I was a kid. When I protested, he didnt even realize that he was being an asshole. I was hardly 10yrs old when I asked him to not call me like that. And he's not an illiterate. He's what you would call a very refined upper class Telugu gentleman who travels across the world regularly.

I have to admit that i no longer hear refined Telugu people use derogatory words against other groups. That's why I ask why are you guys in this db so unrefined, inspite of receiving the best education in the greatest country in the world.

Tamil society has changed radically in the past 20yrs. its not the same society that made movies like Gentleman etc. and for me, some of that change has been invariably great to observe. More representation for the million subcultures within their society. more challenging towards brahminical notions of merit.

but such representation has a side effect too. Just like subaltern caste representation in BJP has kicked off an even more vigorous Hindutva in India. It has triggered a small and growing dangerous Tamil nativist sentiment that needs to be challenged.

but you can't allow Tamil nativism, to create an equal and opposite movement of Telugu nativism as a reaction. Which is what I see happening.

Saying language is a fake institution. Saying "telugu" people dont exist - is that not an abuse?. Rey NARSI ga my challenge - say the same things you say about Telugu language and the people who speak it in a tamil forum or french forum or german forum and see whether you last 2 minutes anywhere.

No one is supporting insulting tamils - thats a minor thing occasionally pops up - yes it must be condemned too - in fact most posts just say they dont like the way tamil moves are portrayed - thats hardly hate. They do use some dialogues like sambhar which is not in great taste .
