Language is the MOST egalatarian identity you can ever have. Because it is available equally from a beggar to a judge to a gay or straight.

There is a reason why that is the DEFACTO  political identity - both in terms of soverignity and non-soverign identities like states or provinces within a state.

Telugu identity may not be perfect and may need work to do but to rubbish exclusively telugu identity and hyping up other languages - is clear racism.

Finally you are not debating nuances of telugu identiy or its ethics or anything. You are outright denying even it exists and wishing it dies. I am pretty sure that kind of a stance will not be welcome whether in any political identity - whether gay or language or whatever.

can you point me to literary work in Telugu that has focused on Telugus living elsewhere? To the extent that TN govt got dismissed atleast 3 times. And there's something brewing in srilankan tamil refugee prison camps that may end up leading to dismissal of current Stalin govt too.

what does Telugu society have? It has a very vibrant socialist movement (ap/tg), that focuses on the needs of the working class and makes a noise. No its not TDP, which is purely a neoliberal party that caters only to the upperclass of the society. whatever benefits lower classes derive is purely by chance, not design from its policies.

Does telugu society have groups that help malaysian telugus who are self identifying as tamils there? or for that matter srilankan telugus?

I'm not saying that telugu society should do it. but are they doing it? ekkadnunchi ochindi 'telugu identity' asalu?

Telugi identity is defenitely not as strong as German identity or even krygyz identity - all of whom did not have the misfortune of being a colonized group of people .

But it will be there eventually and it will enable egalatarianism among 90 million people and strengthen them and protect them from harm. Upper castes are some measly 10 percent of telugu people. Yea they have power now but future aint so bright for them in terms of dominatioj.
