Location and builder are what you choose .. quality builders choose better materials ... But with housing boom even they compromised.

You are talking about grade of materials. I’m referring to the choice of the materials in the first place. I hear your point though.

You don't have that choice...

Location dictates schools.

 

Builder and community all get same material... Rarely they give choice .

These days, plan to be in house at max for 10 years and sell. All kinds of issues start after that. If you can time it and catch housing boom , it's great.

Best bet is : buy a home before middle school (elementary doesn't matter - trust me ) and move out after they go to college.

Loan on 800k at 3 percent is same as loan on 600k at 6 percent.

In USA, for your primary home anytime is good time , assuming you can afford the monthly payment.

We are in Arkansas temporarily for 2 years 

we shopped a house online , bought a 5 year old house. So far enjoying the house 

we saw the house before closing day 

except for yard everything else is good 

We only did a video tour before deciding 

We owned a new construction before.

The thing I like about old construction is they have good material which has lot of value 

Lately all the houses quality is awful 

 agree with every one , school should be the priority as this is the selling point

1-2 yrs lo anni rooms full gaa vadatam start chestharu. With current hybrid work culture, u need 1-2 bedrooms for office setup itself
