A 24-year-old Delhi-based Hindu woman has accused two people -- one of them the "district vice-president of the BJP youth wing", according to his Facebook profile -- of "hiring" her to frame a 27-year-old Muslim businessman in a rape and 'love jihad' case in UP's Kasganj.

The woman, Radha (who only uses her first name), had earlier accused the man, Prince Qureshi, of having presented himself as 'Monu Gupta', who "promised to marry her" but later "raped her". Following her complaint, Qureshi was booked under IPC sections 376 (rape), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), and 506 (criminal intimidation) on July 16.

However, the two men, Aman Chauhan, 34, and Akash Solanki, 28, had "hired her" to say this, Radha said while recording her statement in the case before a magistrate under CrPC section 164.

She is believed to have rescinded her allegations after she was told by court that a medical exam would be conducted and that she might have to go to jail if her complaint was found to be false.

Chauhan, Solanki, and Radha were later booked by cops under charges of criminal conspiracy. Earlier, Chauhan and Solanki, along with over 200 workers from right-wing organisations, had staged a protest at the Ganjdundwara police station regarding the "rape" matter.

SP of Kasganj police BBGTS Murthy said, "All details provided by the woman in support of her allegations were found to be wrong in our investigation. She was unwilling to go for a medical examination. She later confessed and said she had been asked to do this by two local residents. There seems to be an old rivalry related to financial agreements between the parties."

SHO Anoop Kumar Bharti said, "The two men were arrested but later granted interim bail by the court. We will be filing a charge sheet very soon."

కోస మెరుపు: BJP district president KP Singh said, "Aman Chauhan is not a BJP worker. He had been removed from the party. I don't know Akash Solanki. BJP has nothing to do with the matter."
