Roads across Andhra Pradesh are in bad condition and the oppositions especially Pawan Kalyan led Jana Sena has been protesting against the YCP government’s negligence for a long time. Yet the YCP government turned ignorant against protests and hopelessly defended that damaged roads can be spotted only at a few places while the rest is fine.

The condition of the roads is one of the main criticisms coming from the people in the ruling party’s ‘Gadapa – Gadapaku YCP government’ program. YCP ministers and MLAs faced the wrath of the people at few places when they interacted with the public and at other places, leaders had no answers even to reply. Freshly Labour minister Gummanur Jayaram hit back at the people when questioned about the roads.

The YCP minister was in Aspari, Kurnool district on Monday and he blatantly accepted that the state government has insufficient funds to lay new roads. “I have knowledge that the foundation for new roads to this town was laid last year but the government is falling short of financial resources. In Aluru constituency, nearly 40 roads are in bad condition. After August 15th, the roads would be repaired as the CM informed me that he would allot Rs 2000 crore,” said minister Jayaram.

Shockingly minister Jayaram asked people that if the roads are damaged, can’t they walk? Well the minister should not have commented in that manner which is demeaning the public who voted for him.

The public will be anticipating for Independence Day to arrive fast, going by the minister’s statements.
