YCP’s mouthpiece Vijayasai Reddy predicted that in a matter of time, the GDP of Vizag will surpass the GDP of Hyderabad and this is mainly attributed to efforts of AP CM YS Jagan led YCP government.

Sharing the details of GDPs of various cities from all over the country, Vijayasai Reddy blamed that the previous Telugu Desam government neglected the development of Vizag and so the beach city was lagging behind. At 10th spot, Vizag’s GDP is $44 billions and the city is fast growing in many aspects.

“Had TDP focused on the growth of Visakhapatnam, today it would have been in the top 5. Now that Vizag is rising under YSRCP, TDP is again creating hurdles with malice against Uttarandra. It is only a matter of time that Vizag becomes the capital of AP and crosses Hyderabad,” tweeted Reddy.

However, below this post, netiznes are commenting that Vizag was in ninth spot in TDP’s regime and after YCP taking over, the city slipped to tenth ranking and that’s worrisome news. And a few are not convinced that Vizag would go past Hyderabad. Some are optimistic that Vizag will become the financial capital of AP but it would take at least 15 to 25 years.

Irrespective of these numbers and rankings, Jagan had special plans for Vizag. Firstly he wanted Vizag to be the Executive Capital of AP and accordingly he brought the ‘Three Capitals’ proposal. But this proposal received roadblocks with court intervention. Yet Jagan is working to make Vizag the Executive capital and besides this, the YCP chief is going to have his own palace very soon.
