India travel - H1 extension question

Going to India for a vacation in August, and coming back to US by Aug 31. 

My H1B expires by Sep 20, is it a good option to file for h1b extension before I leave to India?

Attorney is saying will file for extension in premium after I am back to US (the very next day). Should be approved quickly as I am FTE.

But, do we have any issues at POE? Or any places with H1 visa stamp expiring less than a month?

any suggestions?

Why risk? What if some unforeseen things happen and you can’t be back by aug?

either do extension in premium before leaving to india or file after return.

you cannot file extension while outside us.

Will that not be an issue during the POE, with visa stamping expiring in around 3 weeks?
