In Karnataka, the % of vegetarian population is more than in the Telugu states.. so is the case in Gujarat.. if there are even a small % of people who cannot eat what is served, it beats the purpose of providing a meal..

I am just saying this from the logistics perspective… I don’t have a preference.. may be they can decide on the kids food preferences in each school..

Yes in karantaka some agri communities like lingayats are also veggies. The stats show 2.7% of kids in govt schools are veggies. But one can rest assured it is only one community who creates ruckus on this.

And have you read the post ? veggies are being served an alternate called chikki. By the way there was never a case of veggies not being served a meal - they get rice/sambhar everything. Egg and chikki are in protein category. Even here the govt and tax payer took care of the precious veggie community and giving them chikki which probably far more hardwork than egg.

The issue here is the demand that OTHERS stop eating what they like to eat because these casteist scum feel they get polluted just by sitting next to them.
