not some, all his movies are visually great. even his most recent ones.

but his writing has gone bad to worse.

I've seen only one of Hanu's movies - his first one with Lavanya. Its obvious he's inspired from maniratnam, but is more poetic than maniratnam's movies which have a strict upper class tamil brahmin vibe even when his characters are situated in chennai slums.

name one movie of maniratnam where his visuals were ordinary? He doesn't make big budget movies too.

even his latest katruveliyidai is breath taking. I only watched a few clips since i stopped watching his films after the horrible Guru.
