bro please this once for all.- no one working in US as chef is legal - you are just getting into trouble from day one . There are no visas for chefs - every one here is illegal - so many people loose all their investment and some even file chapter 7 no one talk - so never ever go into food business if you family is willing to work .

Talk to a consultant who specializes in Franchises. For fast food, McD is very tough. Subway is the easiest. Newer brands are willing to encourage young investors more. There are business consultants and also real estate consultants who are equally important. 

Never enter into any franchise assuming its a part time job. Only enter if you are willing to give 110% of your time in to the business. Be the manager and also be ready to take more work. 

You need to pay off the loan, own the business and be ready to setup the next 2-3 locations by Year 6. That is when you will slowly come out of the do-er role and start becoming the manager/owner of this business. You wont make crazy money for the first few years. When Location # 2 & 3 start stabilizing you will see good dough. After location # 5 - you will see good money. The key to businesses is the ability to expand and grow. 

Right on it. Perfect way of putting it. Right now due to personal commitments looking for the ones where manager contributed time is less considerably. I do agree we need to put 110% time. The idea of going with franchise to reduce that human effort because the brand itself will do most of it. Loyalty and franchise fees should cover for some of the ground level activities like marketing,  crowd pulling.. etc. if we build our own business we should do everything ourselves and of course you make more money with it.  Did you or anyone else in this DB heard about Fantastic Sams? What are your thoughts on it ?

nenu cheppina 110% franchise kosame. crowd pulling, marketing avanni kaadu. Franchise is a small business at the end of the day. personal commitments undi, business ki full committment ivvaleka pothe daantlo paisal petti chetulu kaalchukoku. It is not part time or mailbox money. When investing, you got to be cautiously pessimistic. 

I have never heard of fantastic Sams.

Bro Every Grocery Store has a kitchen with curry point and so many ladies sell food from home - i have seen so many kloud kitchen could not even sustain 3-6 months . you have to be the cheapest to success - how can you compete with a grocery store who has whole sale pricing and some time 0 value shelf life veggies to sell ?

grocery Store Rent for Curry Point = 0

grocery Store Food Cost = 0-10%

Labour Cost 50% less as the staff can be used multiple roles
