Bro Every Grocery Store has a kitchen with curry point and so many ladies sell food from home - i have seen so many kloud kitchen could not even sustain 3-6 months . you have to be the cheapest to success - how can you compete with a grocery store who has whole sale pricing and some time 0 value shelf life veggies to sell ?

grocery Store Rent for Curry Point = 0

grocery Store Food Cost = 0-10%

Labour Cost 50% less as the staff can be used multiple roles

andukane grudda musukoni job chesukovali, business is for people who has it in their blood athyaashaki pote adukku tinaali.

My Personal Experience and suggestion is stay away from retail - Small Business in US is a Full time job - Payroll , Labour laws , Edd , Liability , Disability , Workers comp  too much for the time and money you spend .

Retail/Small Business is where you employ some one to do business - There is always some one suing you or you have to always be worried who shows up or not to work - in the current market even the likes of chipotle or starbucks also not able to get labour to work - so many stores go out of service temporarily . You being a Single owner putting all your saving to do a business is it worth it ?

Not a franchise owner, but worked for a small period of time in a family business's office who own ~ 50 franchise locations between Pizza, Coffee, TacoBell, BK, Corp location deli stores etc. My observations from that time:

Talk to a consultant who specializes in Franchises. For fast food, McD is very tough. Subway is the easiest. Newer brands are willing to encourage young investors more. There are business consultants and also real estate consultants who are equally important.

Never enter into any franchise assuming its a part time job. Only enter if you are willing to give 110% of your time in to the business. Be the manager and also be ready to take more work.

You need to pay off the loan, own the business and be ready to setup the next 2-3 locations by Year 6. That is when you will slowly come out of the do-er role and start becoming the manager/owner of this business. Till then you have to have the grind, grit, support and the ability to perform 60+ hours EVERY SINGLE WEEK.

You wont make crazy money for the first few years. When Location # 2 & 3 start stabilizing you will see good dough. After location # 5 - you will see good money. The key to businesses is the ability to expand and grow.

Correct! People think doing business is as easy as they show in movies with bimbo naga chaitanya doing nothing and living in mansions with a TON of time to spend with a GF like a bed of roses.

if you are not ready to put in 60+ hours a week and grind it, don’t even think about it.

i think right now a safe bet is to train new breed of students coming in and place them on h1-b - get contracts in managed services , cloud try to out source and make a cut or learn and day trade or do some re search on abnb . as per your finical strength and time

It's like picking the perfect song for your business journey! So, what's your dream franchise, and have you considered any specific industry? Let's chat biz and swap some ideas!

Did anyone in this DB tried to kickstart a business? What is the best industry to get into ?

I thought people who already had plenty of time and money bought a franchise like McDonalds or KFC or Subway. Managing franchise requires quite an investment of your time and money.

Fast food is alright. People need food cheap and ready.

A lot of Desis own Subway. May be coz easy to maintain. Mostly punjabis and they employ other family members. Same with gas stations. I have'nt seen mcdonald's though.

Telugus mostly are into Andhra restaurants. Slowly getting into other opportunities. Coin laundry is a good business. Less maintenance.
