Can virus make some keys non functional

Win 7, Dell inspiron 5559

I tried all the ways

1. Reinstalled drivers

2. power drain and on

3. removed and replaced keyboard

4. filter keys option removed

still some keys “h” g”” 5” “6” aren’t working

Use Onscreen keyboard or Keyboard tester software to see if its hardware issue of keyboard.

 

buy USB keyboard external one and connect and use if you don't want to change keyboard of laptop.

Onscreen keyboard works i tested

Yes most probably the keyboard circutry could be shorting somewhere so causing the intermittent issue..

If you are comfortable open up and do cleaning of keyboard, in some cases dust or some particle getting stuck below the keys can also cause this kind of issue. even after this cleanup issue persists its certainly a hardware issue.
