same how random hollywood people liked RRR. although it made a grand total of some $15k in English.

everything has a price now. except class. which both karan and pichhimouli lack.

I'm a dumbfcuk as long as I post in this db. Otherwise I'm far too smart to talk to an idiot like you.

what facts do you go by? I've said dozen times in this db that the glowing reviews came because RRR was released again for the US with an 'uncut' version on June 1.

you guys keep bringing the conversation back to square 1 like a bunch of useless whiny babies..

do you disagree that it was rereleased in the US? It made $15k in that rerelease. All that glowing reviews from white people were paid... some of it may be genuine, but mostly its PR. Probably to create some oscar buzz or some such stupid thing.

imagine liking a Rajamouli movie and considering yourself a cinema lover... that's the depravity telugu 'cine lovers' have sunk to.

it reflects badly on telugu cinema itself.

whatever you say about brahmastra applies to boojumouli's movies too.. he's just smart enough to have some 'elevation' (whatever that means) shots so teen boys that watch his film get lots of goosebumps.

looks like lot of grown up assholes in India have the brain of a teenager, so his movies become widely watchable.

lmao. you defend boojumouli movies.. how smart can you be?

so you accept that it was released again? and all that glowing reviews which suddenly started pouring in was timed for netflix and this re release.

check out how much that rerelease made inspite of all that tall claims about how west embraced that sh1t movie. I can't do all the work for you.

its pure PR. nothing else. the same thing you accuse brahmastra of.

Very limited release - just few shows... That too in independent theatres -- purely out of demand from artists and film. Makers in LA and NY.

again proving you are the typical dumbfcuk that populates this db. $15k was a throwaway figure I mentioned.

the crux of what I said was that all the reviews for RRR were paid for, just like it was for brahmastra.

pretty sure 3/4ths of what it earned in that rerelease also came from dumb fans like you who watched it to see if this 'uncut' version had some amazing scenes that was missing in the original release.

may be you are too dumb to get it. let me explain to you like I would to a child.

there's no way to know if RRR was indeed appreciated by the non-Indian crowd. its rerelease was an utter flop, and it was a bunch of people on twitter talking about the movie, and some random reviewer from roger ebert site (the real roger ebert has been dead for a decade now), and a couple of disney movie makers praising this movie.

what do you have to prove that it was appreciated by the non-Indian crowd? nothing.

I'll give you material to work with, since you are too intimidated to actually argue with me.

RRR stayed in Netflix global top 10 rankings for 12 weeks, but if you look at the other movies in that list, you get a sense of what that 'top 10' actually entails. Its not actually populated with blockbusters.

did you see the press release describing that it was a sold out crowd for the first weekend?

per theatre avg of $1700 is a sell out crowd?

that's PR for you. same thing you accuse brahmastra of.

most likely it was released to prep it for oscar buzz... they should have considered RRR for oscars under foreign film category or god forbid the vfx.. lmao.. it'd be fun watching all of you people lose your mind over it.
