Cholas built grand temples like the Thanjavur grand temple, Srirangam temple. were extremely ambitious compared to pandyas.

Pandyas are more mentioned in literature since they helped tamil grow more.

Later Cholas insitutionalized feudalism in Tamil society, their revenue system was brutal with plenty of taxes for the non-priestly class.. Pandyas were no better, but they were not as organized in their loot of their own people as the cholas were.

Also Raja Raja Chola inscribed his own biography into the temples he built. A lot of the popularity comes from the mythmaking because of the little details left in the inscriptions about how great they were. Plus Raja Raja and Rajendra did expan their empires into south east asia. So there's an opportunity for chest beating that Tamils once ruled south east asia, which is laughable.

Tamilinas ki…artham avuntdhi..they might have covered in their education also…how telugu people know కాకతీయ…

For non tamilians ki it will be same like…GOT or lord of the rings..some research is needed to understand…
