‘Liger’ is a disaster in all languages. The film directed by Puri Jagannadh was rejected by critics and audiences alike.

Vijay Deverakonda did a lot of promotions for this film. Eventually, he also faced criticism for his poor judgment skills in selecting stories. However, the final collections of the Hindi version prove that he and his film would have made a massive impact had the film been worth watching.

He has a strong connection with the youngsters. The opening day Hungama was the proof. But it sank with negative word-of-mouth.

However, the Hindi version netted more than Rs 20 crore despite such a disaster talk.
Meanwhile, he is now getting ready to resume Siva Nirvana’s ‘Kushi’, which also stars Samantha.

Konda gadu inko 10 floplu padda vaniki unde fans vaniki untaru, he specially addresses a segment of audiences like 15-20 years youth and all the actors who catered to that segment are past those times like pk, prabhas, bob etc. he filled that void with arjun reddy and he is locked in to that stardom for 10 years atleast(5 done and 5 more he has got).

@KGFsutthi & @HyperAdi @hyperbole why confining vijay devarakonda to telanagana only,,,,  that would be disadvantage for him .... if he tries to project himself as telanagna star...cinemalu oka region ,religion,caste valle chusthe hit kaavu kadha..and also tollywood lo 80% andhra batch e, ultimately he has work with them and more cinema going frenzy people in aandhra than tg ...thats why his movies getting flops ...failed to grosss minimum collections thats my opinion.....last 4,5 movies lo okati renddu talk bagunna mingai...maybe due to his athi and overaction

I am not projecting him baa, I am from TG and I hate pink party for some reasons and I hate pinkies in this forum projecting him as TG a megastar, saw such posts andhuke I hate this athikonda being projected and eating on our TG a accomplishments

5 flops in a row just 9 crores day 1 with pan Indian promotion, insecurity nakendhuku uncle, I am just showing VD 2 rupees aukat.

Stay with humility and success follows like nikhil , Waat laga denge ani content leni movie promote chesi veedi pornstar acts chusi vastaru anukunte fans like you will keep on crying for next movie too lol 😂 ippatiki 5 movies ki gukka petti edchinatunnaru konda fans 😂

This time, it's working differently. Slowly and after the covid, HYD is becoming the new Mumbai for filmmaking and post production works. In my view, more movies are now being shot and processed in HYD than any where else in India, ahead of Mumbai and Chennai. 

VD can become the poster boy of the new shift in business, promoting as "TG-Hyd"  does not confine him to TG but it may elevate his market. There is ram Charan Kapoor and Jr NTR but they have such an image which does not necessarily connect them with a region where as VD, you can identify and connect hi to the native state. and more over Andhra Super Star ante TG lo chudaremo kani TG superstar ante Andhra lo aina else where aina acceptance vuntadi...perception.
