I agree these are well run countries now - but i dont see why any credit should go to monarchy which was ruthless against humanity.

Allowing or not Allowing is a country's own Policy. If you want to know, India is the toughest country for getting work visa for any foreign country. India almost issues ZERO work visas for foreign nationals as India itself have such a huge Unemployment.

Once civil Government appointed by Queen Victoria came into force, all the Civil Institutions were giving opportunities to Indians equally. How do you think Gandhi, Nehru, Vallabh Bhai Patel, Jinnah , who were born around 1860-1880 became LAWYERS by 1910 ??? If "No Indians & Dogs" was implemented, how come these lawyers became successful barristers by 1910??

Credit should definitely go to the British Monarchy because unlike other lethal & cruel monarchies of Islamic Middle East, Japanese, Hindu Monarchies of India, ...... the monarchies of UK & Western Europe gradually promoted Civil rights, Equal Opportunities, Equal Implementation of Law.

And British Monarchy gets all its credit for abolishing child labour in 1820s, Black slavery around 1780s, Womens Rights etc & etc.

Just every Civic Institution of USA was an idea born in present day England. And thats where millions of Indians want proudly belong to...

what british abolished black slavery ? they literally ran it. They financed it. It was completely underwritten by london finaciers.

interestingly i have never seen a dubai shiek or saudi citizen immigrate to uk. ver few if at all.

how come ? why are they not attracted to the superiour value system and move ?

Again you are confusing CIVIC Society fabric with Military Rule fabric.

16th, 17th and 18th Centuries were full of Colonial Imperialist attitudes. If you have Force, go and get it. 

There were many Imperial Forces around the World that looted many countries but never gave anything back to the society they looted.

Amongst them, BRITISH was the best to happen to India.

Remember, at least you need to give credit them for one reason. They were responsible for rooting out Islamic Empire from India and thus protected India from becoming an Islamic Nation.

Dubai or Saudi Sheik cannot immigrate to UK because they wont get cheap labour & chex slaves like they get in their fcuked up countries.

I dont think arab countries have occupied anyone and forcing them to work  like british did.

All the workers in dubai or saudi went there on their own - paying flight ticket and paying lot of money to be there.

If arabs and dubais are not emigrating means their country is treating them well. And if they are attracking workers from everywhere (btw thousands of british workers in dubai and saudi as well) then you should have same gratitude to them.

baaa, naa point okkate. The idea of hatred against the British was fabricated by Gandhi family & Hindu upper castes soon aster 1947 because they have to answer to the people of India for the poor state the country was put in. But they safely & gradually sidelined British contributions.

Have you ever heard JP Narayan or Ex-JD Lakshmi Narayana interviews. Check carefully when they talk about British, they talk with immense respect. They call them "British Vaaru". They never use the work "looted" or similar. Any UPSC aspirant preparing for IAS/IPS will tell you if you ask about British Empire. They do not even use the word 'Empire' as its a derogatory term.

Coming to your question, no one can say India is best or worst now. Its every improving like a foetus.
