CA govt passed a hard rule to reach some housing goals by 2030, if counties dont heed to it, then no funding to them.

also if community dont heed to that mandate, the builders have say to go ahead with the project, given the environmental clearance...

a clearance is the loop hole...

the limit I was talking about is the attitude of the home owners in the area who get on the council.

yeah, I read about the new state level bill that allows multi family homes to be built on single home zoning areas. I read about a couple of wealthy cities like Atherton found a way out of it by claiming their city to be part of a conservation area that limits increasing building sizes..

but it doesn't matter. the rich neighbourhoods are never gonna play ball. they can be ignored. there's not much demand for housing there too. I hope more houses get built in areas that really need housing. Newsom I read had a goal of building 500k homes in all of california from the current avg of 80k per year. bay area will need atleast half of that 500k.

but nijame kadha.. community backing undadhu. because the people who actually want housing don't get to vote on the proposition - if there's even a proposition on that.

aa council lo unnollaki already illulu untaai.. they want good view, inka chaala reasons untaai for them to delay the project.
