It is not about hardwork alone. Lack of opportunity for poor. About social inequality. 

Only concern I have is, reservations shouldn't deny opportunity for others. Tough act for governments to balance.

Perhaps limiting economically stronger sc/st/bcs from availing reservations to an extent will help.

The goal of reservations is to remove discrimination and provide social equality.

That 7k/month or what Eva limit govt comes up with should be applicable to all castes not just upper castes.

sure. but if the quota seats for certain segment of caste groups doesn't get filled, it can't be filled with general quota. That's cheating. lmao.

let uppercastes have reservation, but purely economic quota. no one in uppercastes who makes more than 7k per month should get a seat within that quota. we can have the same for OBC too, but not for dalits. simple.

but first let your govt take the caste census. You'll be surprised how little uppercastes (especially in southern states) fall below the median wage across the country. I have no problem helping that kind of poor people.

but not families making 65k per month. I don't know what's the current limit for EWS and OBC quota? it is ridiculous.

Like I said only economically backward families should be helped… caste equation should be taken out, economically backward will cover all categories as everyone is paying taxes.

caste equation cannot be taken out. don't be silly. caste is still the biggest factor in Indian society and its economics revolves around caste.

you can only have economically disadvantaged quota for groups who are not covered under the other quota.

as long as politicians ask for votes based on caste, power is devolved around caste lines, and hence will be the primary way on how to provide representation in Indian public institutions.
