Also lot of south indian state taxes are alcohol revenue.

Becuase south indian states have no access to income taxes (goes directly to delhi), central share of GST - they are forced to turn their population as drunkards to make revenue for the state.

What about tamilnadu then? It looks same as TG too, if the percepita is good for both the states, it’s obvious to give more to states which underperform

TN and MH have been ahead of every other states for decades. Gujrath picked up only after Modi became PM and a little after he became Gujrati CM. TN doesn't have same kind of tax incentives that Gujarth is enjoying from GIFT city. And that specific graph is between 2020-2021. You consider the total benfits Gujarath has received from 2014 to 2022 apart from the regular tax amount back. They recieved between 8-9 lakh crores. No other state has recieved such a huge amount. Ofcourse, the same would have happened to TN/TG or any other state if a person from those states became the PM for a decade.

Yea they have an advantage having the local party in gujarat emerged as biggest national party, KCR can go and challenge on national front too to make his regional party as national party if he can but the irony is party name itself is having one region name, so no use
