The Presidential Commission on Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders unanimously approved a recommendation for the provision of stamping of H-1B visas inside the US.

If President Joe Biden accepts this proposal, it would be a huge relief to thousands of foreign professionals on H-1B visas.

The President’s Advisory Commission came up with this during the recent meeting in White House with Asian Americans, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders.

Its a strategy for vetting more people who otherwise may not opt for leaving the country. They still can reject and deport.

agreed, but if the person applied for h1 extension and USCIS approved, why can't they allow to submit documentation within US to apply for VISA extension too along with h1 ext? why do people need to schedule plans around appointment availability for travel? may be it worked before due to less people, but now it doesn't anymore. either they have to stop or reduce H1 or change rules to accommodate new life styles.

Before 9/11 vomerica used to issue visas even when you are inside the country. So maybe same rules untai if at all they implement
