So anduku retaliation ga he might have taken out the family, another possibility is that the desi guy probably came to know that this guy who's working for him was transporting illegal drugs across the border and might have informed the police authorities about this and the police might have raided the cartel shipment causing loss to the cartel. 

So they might have threatened this guy with killing his family unless he goes and kills the desi guy's family.

i read that the guy used to work as a truck driver for the family’s business and there was some unpaid debt that victim(s) refused to pay to the murderer. this theory is also floating online.
