been in that situation, i know how stressful it is. I recommend to pick an employer first and start initiating H1B transfer and look for FTE.

november 1st last day ...

so u have 22 days in october n

60 days from november 1st so ... december 30 th is the last day with 60 day grace period ...

u have 82 days ... almost 3 months ...

so no worries ... u will definitely find the job ...

 

that being said don't go to india ... untill u get the job ...

 

even of u dont find job by dec 30 .. i think u can stay untill ut i94 expiry date ... (but not exceeding 180 days)

going out of status won't effect your h1b later or GC ...

His I-94 and current visa valid for next 2 yrs . He should be good as long as he stays here ..
