charlotte tier 3 annavu okay as there is nothing there not even an international airport and a decent downtown

Tier 2 will be cities like Boston , Chicago , Washington , Seattle

Atlanta is not as costly as these but also not cheap , may be a 10% difference between these and Atlanta in terms of cost of living , Seattle could be tier 1 in many aspects so its debatable

btw metro atlanta is still affordable in areas like Suwanee, Duluth, Cumming, Woodstock, etc with great school districts. You can still buy a 3500 sft single family for less than 600k (of course used)
