Bro, After staying in US for 7 yrs, had to leave H1 raaka..India poi, malli NZ vachi, work permit vachesariki prime time 2 years waste ayyayi..if I were in US, I would have saved at least 80-100K in that time. Na US friends andaru ee time lo illu lu, Tesla lu konesaru. Nenu NZ lo ipude malli save cheyadam started. But aa 2 years money poyayi ani ipudu badhapadi use ledu. There is always reset button as long as you are in US and working! 
PS: I am glad to have understandable parents. Ma amma ki 4 lakhs iste danni 5 lakhs chesi malla naku etla ivvala ani chustadi!

I went through same ordeal as well.. Parents mind set will not change how hard we try.. If you have loans, its better to sell any property and start from scratch...  You should stay strong on this, otherwise you wont be able to fill tank with water leak, hope you got it. Convey your concern and stand ground on your plan and at the same time dont ruin the relationship with your father. Keep a check on your health, dont over indulge on liquor etc.. remember you have family to take care.. everything is going to be alright...it just takes time.. 1 day at a time... dont loose hope.. be happy and surround yourself with positive people... A lot of folks in this group went through the same and came out of it eventually.. you will as well.. @Thefighter

You can love your parents and respect them but at the same time you can acknowledge if they are acting unreasonable or making bad decisions. Age doesn't mean  experience all the time. Most of the desi men ki chala blind devotion untadhi parents ante. They can never call out them on it.

nee degagra lenidi needi kaadu, you should realize now that what goes out of your hands is gone

take it as a best lesson you can get although in negative sense

you should be glad that you learned this lesson early in life, now you will not trust own shadow, which means you will do good in future, start learning to live in future

and lending money is gone money , don't get trap in name of parents, siblings..
