they are just proud of their lineage like brahmins and white people it seems nothing wrong as they are the ones who promoted education for everyone by fighting against the whites and elite brahmins in India

Never bro for kid may be rare may be 1 in thousand , I know some people who have ysr photo in their wallet vaalu kuda petadam ledu, chinna pillalalki tdp Jenda icharu but at least names lo its gone even back in india people are removing

Bro one thing to accept is that 99.99% of the time they won't remove the R tag from name let it be here or in India...Now the latest trend in India is that for girls also they are adding R tag at end which didn't used to be the case.
