No need to take DL test. Just find an appointment and go get the new license ! 
Car registration and taxes kattali TX lo including title transfer fee from other state !

Written test rayali… buddhigaa chaduvukuni vellu.. chala mandi fail avtharu..

thanks man , this is the second time I have to pay these transfers and fees ,so many fees for everything , feel bad man..

Thappadu… Texas lo income tax undadanna maatey kani migitha anni categories lo antha kantey ekkuva nay lagutharu … Texas is no longer a retirees state ! Actually its good for retirees who fully own a house . Coz the dint pay property tax on the primary residence and no state income if age is Over 65 !

I was wrong.. written test is not required

If u have expired license from other state then u have to write test..or else just pay fee u should be good hard part is finding that appointment once u get first texas license and first texas license  plate  it's all easy never have to visit dmv ...just simplet use texas by texas app

license is unexpired and valid , yeah , appointment times seem to be too long in Austin area..

Just try to find some dps center away from city and stand in line morning 3 or 4am..they will give each day 10 or 15 same day appointments ..thats how many ppl got success even me in first days of moving to texas drove 50 mins away north to sherman like 7am got same day appointment as I went early got the work done same day..

Indians in Austin edo group undi andulo chala info undi out of state moveins ki DL and licnese plate info etc..

 

A small sneakpeka of what i found from march..

 

"Go to Georgetown DPS before 8 better before 7.30 , carry all documents including your visa approvals , Texas address details etc and you can get it same day. But before that your vehicle should have already been registered in Texas"

Follow these steps

1.get car inspection report from any auto shop. It will be around 20 to 40 bucks.

2. Car registration from dmv office.

3. u can get same day appointments in some locations Denton etc. they will open appointments exactly 7.45am.
