Honestly, Twitter stopped innovating long time ago (decade or more) whereas Facebook, YouTube and TikTok are doing great at adding  new features and adding more number of subscribers.. He based his decision to purchase as per the information in the sec filings, which he is now saying that it is not accurate.. Twitter says there are only 10% of fake accounts whereas he thinks there are 30-40% fake accounts or bots.. Twitter refused to give him more information about it.. that has been his main complaint..

there are two guys who is trying two  fantasies which current humanity is least bothered about…

one is META…we are seeing now what happening there…another one MARS program…instead of fixing the showing some imaginary world…

if you can able to terraform the farm you can definitely fix the earth…even though if he reached to mars…at what cost? how much earth resources will be consumed? its like killing earth to find living conditions on other planet…

another of his fantasy programs are star link and neuro link…you might know already how many satellites are launched and they are creating space manure  and that too those satellites are at lower altitude…this program has more disadvantages than advantages…

i dont want to waste my time on neurolink joke..

its not being left or right…its not even political…all i am is questioning his vision which is series of imaginations some are harmful in long run whether he succeed or not…

Twitter - he cannot conclusively prove it unless Twitter provides the data.. he is at a point of no return from that Twitter deal without a court room fight.. so he is going ahead with it.. 

Mars may be a pipe dream at this time but look at what he achieved with SpaceX. US is able to send astronauts to the ISS without relying on Russia. He successfully started reusing the rockets, which never happened, thus brining down the cost of launches. US now saves lot of money on satellite launches.. Starlink provides internet and communications to remote places on the earth, where the services are non existent or prohibitively expensive. 

Neuralink - I don’t know much about it.. may be there is some advantage to it.. all of these are private companies and only he loses money on them if they fail… he is not playing with public money here.. SpaceX, boring company, neuralink are all private and have no public participation or investment..

Of course, he is doing business and not social service… but he is thinking out of the box instead of creating some social media app like Facebook or Twitter or Snapchat to make billions.. he is trying to solve real world problems like internet to remote places, electric cars, underground transportation, autonomous driving, etc.. Twitter is so out of his league and that is why everyone was surprised when he bought it.. each one of his projects have some side effects but not something that impacts the people directly.. 

Also, he is not building all of these on his own.. he is hiring the right people and making them work.. and funding them..

Elon Musk provides a 'vision' where people (mainly upper/middle class) don't need to change their lifestyle and consumption patterns and still believe that they can do good in the world.

noppi lekunda pani jaragaali andariki. adhi eppatiki avvadhu.

for eg. electric cars will never replace ICE.. instead of embracing strategies for better urban design that includes biking, public transit and walking, people want to believe that Elon Musk will find a solution for the problem of pollution, congestion, what not.

people are naive about how society works. especially when they are making enough money to be comfortable in their lives, they believe that all is well with the world, and those that raise red flags are losers.

One thing I've learnt is not to engage with such people (after trying to engage with them unsuccessfully). They will never learn. They'll never change. The hope is that others around them change enough to force them to change too. Its a waste of time talking to people who are happy and self satisfied with their life/work. Such people will always worship Elon and  make excuses for his stupid antics.

Musk is a narcissist and is in the league of Steve Jobs and I dont think anyone denies it.. he is no hero and he is just a businessman.. everyone in this world have their place.. just that people who make more noise get more media coverage..
