name cut off in ssn

is there any length limit? anyone faced it?

friend has lengthy first name and only first 15 letters out of 21 printed on her ssn. last name is good though

it needs to be corrected or it is expected?

It should be fine. Does the first name have multiple sub names separated by space like - Naga Rama Sathya Venkata  Ravi Siva ?

In that case the first 'sub name' will be the first name. Remaining sub names can be used as Middle name.

yeah it has 2 sub names separated by space. only half of second sub name is printed. 

I said it is fine but some said it would be difficult to get drivers license if it like that so they are worried.

that will not be a problem bro. Maa frnd gadi ki 4 sub names vunnayi in passport with all our god names.. dantlo first 2 sub names and first 2 letters of 3rd sub name vachindhi in SSN. He never faced any prbm with DL/Banks or anything..
