One anlyst said quite a while ago that TDP has very little fresh blood compared to YCP. Most of the existing leaders are from NTR time (who were very young and fought for the people issues tooth and nail in the 80's). Now their children have come up with businesses and are more interested in that and might contest with spending money. YCP leaders are relatively young who can canvas and go into people more strongly. Untill TDP brings younger people who will go and fight with the people repeatedly TDP won't have a clear path to victory.

TDP leaders don't have to call YSRCP leaders names. they can start by going after a policy that is not having desired effect and show scams in press meets and use it to build street cred and take it step by step.

But that is missing and mostly TDP seems to think that ABN RK and TV5 Murthy will do all these things and we will just get the votes. But actual elections don't work completely like that.

It would be prudent to see as android halwa said, do you see any issues that effect you directly and if so that is a good indication that other people are also feeling the same way.

Elections are won or lost when the middle/undecided people vote one way or other. Hardcore supporters of both sides show up to vote no matter what case. it is generally the section that is not hardcore supporter of a party voting that decides the outcome.
