One of the lowest social diseases is the belief in the morality of work

It was Howard Scott who founded the Technocracy incorporated movement in the 1930s that said it.

“One of the lowest social diseases is the belief in the morality of work,” he told an audience in Calgary. “If you want to know what work has done for you, go home and look in the mirror and see what a mess you are.”

Scott believed that people, freed from having to work for a living and secure in the knowledge that all their material needs would be taken care of, would be able to fulfill themselves through the arts, recreation, religion or education, all of which would thrive in the Technate.

Elon Musk's grandfather was the leader of the Calgary division of this social movement that aimed to create a world without countries, and without work, with science as its driver, and energy as the currency.

LOL ..is this supposed to be an insight ?

ofcourse human struggle is to free itself from burdens of work. The most beastly of it can be be found in villages of india or slums of chennai - which you celebrate as "they want it".

There is no more beastly work than agricuture without machinery - and india is the only country in the world - where there has been an actual increase of cultivators (though decreased as proporstional percentage).

And it is the only country which never really cared to automate this beastly work. which a country like china took on warpath and did.

using drones for agirculture? automated machines to lay railway lines which can complete more than 10 kms per day - is slave labor ?

then what do you see in india ? a feudal like you thinks working in farms at 40 degree celsius is refreshing and getting "some sun".

yeah.. do you understand what the topic is about?

Chinese do still feel that it is social stigma to not work. That's the topic. just because they automated some tasks doesn't make them the great liberty loving people, because they shifted those who work in those areas to work in slave camps in other industries.

I can't be bothered to respond to your grievance with my personality.

Its sad that everything/one you hate don't neatly fit into your definitions of evil. Even though you are trying hard. But its pointless. Just give up sucking up to the Chinese in unrelated threads like a worthless troll.

rey picchi narsi @Raven_Rayes life of liesure comes only through two things :

a) occupy others and force them to work for you - this is what racism.casteism and fascism do

b) work yourself and create infrstructure so that coming forward others can enjoy liesure. Once you created a sewage lines or metro rails - then the work of maintaining them or driving them is vastly easy.

yes. that's why its almost impossible to compete with Chinese on price by any of the countries, including India.

one reason is the manufacturing network is much stronger there, and the other reason is super cheap labour, that can be fired at will. that's the definition of a slave. A free man has the opportunity to negotiate price for his work. and refuse to work if he chooses.

your blind allegiance to the idea of an ethnostate makes you brush everything inconvenient about China under the carpet.

don't expect me to do the same.

LOL - pathetic liar. China almsot hald the employment is in govt sector - where they enjoy something like "iron rice bowl" - almost nordic level of benefits. Do you know the retirement age of china ? 54. After 54 you can retire with life long pension and medical care. And chinese have very high level life expectancy.

In private sector too unionized labor have protections.

There is no point really talking to you. you have some mental diseases. I once explained to you how even private labor are organized in china.

You talking others as "blind".

AS i said most of this is coming from your caste hatred. It is tragedy how you wrecked yourself with that.

lmao.

your definition of slave work is rather too conveniently narrow to enable you to crow about China's amazingness.

like I said its not the topic.

Is China free from the social ill of considering work as an important part of a person's life? you know the answer.

if you claim that it China does indeed have such an aim to remove work, please tell me when all those slave jobs in manufacturing industries are going to ship outside of China.. as according to you China have automated enough to live a life of luxury without anyone slaving for them..

what an idiotic thing to say.

yeah, there's no point really talking to me, because you are all over the place in a desperate attempt to prove me wrong, instead of sticking to the topic of the thread..  lmao.

do you even realise what the thread is about, idiot?

its about Musk coming from a legacy of 'liberatarians' who dreamt of a better world, while he sucks up to the authoritarians at home. Musk is not alone though. Post Obama election, I've seen many of my libertarian friends turn racist supporters.
