Chala threads paddayi layoffs pyna but I thought a consolidated do’s and don’t specially mana desi scenario’s kosam.

1. Lay offs cheysae mundu companies will target contractors first. So, H1B status safe undachu but to find a new contracting job is difficult so if you get an FT role, I advise to take it.

2. folks doing 1FT and another contracting job, make sure you are hitting all the dots in FT role. Short time insight tho don’t take easy on FT role, if it is becoming challenging koddi rojulu keep the contract role away. If you think FT lo lay off aythae I have contract anukuntae, adi pichi decision because in few days or week’s contract kudha terminate cheystharu. So, better contribute your 100% towards FT and be away from Lay off list.

3. Those working on multiple contract jobs, sit and do some research, which company is doing financially good, VP and director level lo emyna resignations unnaya? Evaluate all the possible info, choose the best one, and make sure you are contributing 110% towards your role. If they want to terminate 5/10 contractors atleast you won’t be in the list. If is is getting difficult to contribute take it easy on the second role which is anyway not safe because vallu contract inko days or weeks terminate cheystharu if they are not doing well financially.

4. Folks working 1 FT, make sure you are doing all responsibilities if possible for the next few months take additional task where management feels you are a key stakeholder. Companies in most cases only lay off 25% max so, make them feel you are valuable:

5. Folks working 1 contract role, basic rule is give your 110% support and be available during working hours. Evaluate your technology job opportunities, if you think there are not many, start learning one that has opportunities.

hope this helps. Most importantly don’t get panic looking at LinkedIn posts and develop good network with those who can help you refer in new opportunities in case of layoffs. Send Christmas or thanksgiving or new year greetings to your previous managers and keep in touch.

FT layoffs lo multiple factors untayi performance kakunda. Most of them are out of individuals control.

for example: how critical is ur team/org for the business.
now a days DEI playing big role too.

do ur work & relax. Dont think too much about layoffs. Just make sure ur giving ur 100%

Layoffs ki individual performance peddagaa farak padadu unless you are a super star in your team and your reputation goes beyond your team… it all depends on how critical your application is in the company… ee time la entha yegabadi work chesinaa no difference…if you are in the list or your team is in the list, you are gone..

ekkuva impact R&D projects ki untadi, KTLO projects should be fine…

Layoffs can happen around multiple reasons. Whether you have a job or recently fired, bindaas ga vundurri…just a matter of few months. Office la tega pani chesi elagapedithe manalni peekakunda vundadam ani, ututhuthi job chesthe udyogam vudutundi ani…lot of combinations.

Udyogam pothe inkoti dauladukovadame…anthe kani vunnadi pokunda chusukovadam ante ipudunna situations la kastame
