Why KTR in this tweet ?

Because it is a by product of the ecosystem he helped setup in the form of t-hub and t-works.

skyroot is a T-hub incubated  startup and it raised 520 crores of funding this year. Other companies from t-hub which raised  500+ crores investments this year are Keka Hr and Darwinbox, slowly things are coming to fruition and will catch upto other cities like NCR and Bangalore in few years which otherwise have an 10-15 years headstart compared to Hyderabad

what 'ecosystem'?

the only way an 'ecosystem' forms is when a lot of people have very huge exits and invest back into the hub by contributing their knowledge and experience. It'll take decades, not a few years.

govts cannot create these networks or make them work. Even articulate and involved ones like KTR can't. at best he can identify a couple companies that are worth of promoting, but that doesn't add up to much.

pray that a few Hyd companies make a huuuuuuge exit. otherwise Hyd is doomed to mediocracy as a startup hub and Its almost impossible to catch up to bangalore. But Hyd can create clusters of amazing tech expertise and feed bangalore, the only startup hub of India. Even Delhi can't match it.

disclaimer: I think startups are mostly silly. and a waste of fcuking time anyway. very few of them have a decent idea that can scale, most are just also rans. so for govt to involve itself in creating these kind of hubs is like sucking up to the worst capitalists, in exchange for almost nothing. Especially startups in India are a joke.

Nenu joke chesthanemo bhayya but how about this newspaper?

Privatisation push

In June 2020, the Union government opened space exploration to private players through the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre, which serves as an autonomous agency in the Department of Space.

The private sector, which was formerly a vendor to the Department of Space-controlled ISRO, has now been allowed to “play the role of a big winner in the space sector”, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said this year.

ippudu Hyd ni credit chestey oka artham undhi.. may be it'll attract a lot of interested engineers in spacetech to Hyd, that'll create a nice cluster of amazing companies in the future in Hyd anukundaam.

aa Skyroot company ni credit chesina artham undhi, its engineers get exposure. The company gets a lot of well deserved PR (I still haven't looked up what exactly the launch was about, but still being the first is an impressive feat and deserves kudos).

but central govt ni credit cheste emosthadi bhayya... pls cheppu.

em m kosam central govt ni credit cheyyalo cheppu. what's the benefit.. and who benefits?

they level of effort and collaborations they are making is commendable, every week there is some event to push the envelope - be it collaborations, boot camps,  fund raising, developing new ideas etc. They will leap frog as some of the companies are prime for a $1 billion valuation in next 2-3 years.already darwinbox is valued $1 billion, it is their first unicorn from the t-hub ecosystem and with t-hub 2.0 the ecosystem is about to get bigger and better

Last year, it became the first startup to enter into an agreement with ISRO to use the Indian space agency's expertise and to access facilities. Obviously without privatization it would not have been possible anduku.

Frankly the projects in T-Hub looked like makers club than an ecosystem. Happy that India now atleast got a Maker space. (though accesible obly to a few hundreds).  Also, ** the British collaboration...Britishers not needed in India
