The six-ship fleet would serve as the starting point for a more ambitious colony. The BFR uses 31 Raptor engines powered by liquid oxygen and methane to ensure humans visiting Mars can refuel using natural resources and return home. Each ship would carry 100 tons of supplies, initially serving as the humans’ homes. The passengers would be tasked with extracting around one tonne of ice per day, becoming self-sufficient and returning home with the harvested fuel.

Mars is just the beginning, though. Musk explained at the same event that the BFR is “really intended as an interplanetary transport system that’s capable of getting from Earth to anywhere in the solar system as you establish propellant depots along the way.”

EV are suppose to be cheap..so that every one use it..and it will really contributes to climate...

but he made it a luxury car..which kills the EV concept...

now if you remember tesla...you remember the luxury features...than the core EV advantages...

i am not about them being cheap..because whenever there is a whole new technological achievement..usually prices of those using the new technology would be higher but they come with lot of features and values. Like flights their cost runs in millions but they made it the safest technology on planet for travel. Things like that..my problem is Elon preaching others when he himself charges a premium just being the first mover in the space.
