2 billion dollar loss to Kia Hyundai bad engines

Hyundai Motor (005380.KS) and affiliate Kia Corp (000270.KS) will book a combined 2.9 trillion won ($2 billion) provision in their third-quarter results as they continue to suffer the effects of engine recalls from years ago, they said on Tuesday.

The costs, of which Hyundai accounted for 1.36 trillion won and Kia for 1.54 trillion won, amount to more than half of Hyundai's estimated third-quarter net profit and 77% of Kia's profit, Refinitiv data shows.

That’s from years ago, actually since 2018 hyundai, genesis and kai are rated top 4 in reliability ratings, Toyota and Buick are other 2 brands. This rating is problems found in per 100 cars sold. Honda slipped to 8 from top 3

This is latest loss in third quarter 2022.. their engines made in USA are still and most of the dealerships are fuming because of amount of time they are spending in replacing the engines

Nope the actual numbers tell different stories ..their 2.0 dgi engines are turds too.. tonn of sonatas with oil consumption issues hitting the dealerships..most dealerships are looking for new mechanics just to replace the engines.. 

They are going year by year rather then going after all vehicles for engine replacement..

No 2019 vehicles kooda vunnai.. also Kia stinger vehicles lot of engine rebuilds last time I spoke to a Kia technician .

. that's what I said..Kia is strategically replacing older vehicles first ..once they catch-up they will shift attention to next generation vehicles.. 

Gdi 2.0l engineers are turds too.. lot of vehicles in the recent generation Carry these engines ...and stingers are already getting replaced in batches 

 

The bottom line is these kias need high maintenance..you gotta go by high octane rating gas and synthetic oil at all times..otherwise your fuel Injector's going to fail, oil dilution starts ..all issues come from all corners and going to ruin your engines..
