Its all about associations. What do you associate your smoke urge to.. 

like after dinner, after drink, waiting at bus-stop etc.

disconnect or find alternatives to these associations…

example - like after dinner, to divert from smoke urge - try something else, sweet or sour or just sleep. So basically change your habits.

And of course, if you have smoking buddies - its going to be really tough.

because that’s an association that we can’t really give up , if its a good friend..

First find the reason to quit, reason should be so strong that if i dont quit on this, i cannot quit in my lifetime.

regarding the anxiety, i also had same issues. Used to buy a pack of cigs, take one out and have  one or 2 puffs and throw away the packet. i wasted lot of money like that but in the end my reason to quit was the winner.

I bought them though. But haven't used. Tried hard to divert myself and finally after 2-3 weeks, i was able to achieve it. Entha kastam aina, manage cheyyali few weeks.

Try snus, I’m using this and satisfied on first go. No bullshit only nicotine
