Return to India
Hello, I am 40 years old Male and recently lost my job in US wide tech layoffs. I am trying to find another one at the same time thinking about returning back to India and take early retirement as I find it difficult to manage stress now days. I have net worth of just about of 5 Cr INR (2.6 CR INR in Indian Equities MF out of which 90 Lakh is capital gain and 1.7 CR is base investment.  I have 2.5 CR in US Equity which equals to around 300k in USD). I have one new under construction fully paid up house in Mumbai. No Car, no two wheeler and No Health Insurance in India. I have term life insurance plan in India for 1 CR. I have one US citizen kid 6 years old, wife and mother who are financially dependent on me. Apart from this I do not have any liabilities. Given the current cost of living in India and Education for US citizen kid is this sufficient amount to take FIRE Retirement? At maximum I am assuming that my monthly expenses would be 1 Lakh in India in Mumbai.
Please provide your suggestions.
