GDP = Consumption + Investment + Government Spending + Net Exports

it makes sense to calculate such figures for the country where 'net exports' are clearly defined, but it is much harder to calculate it for a state. one can improve GDP by simply increasing consumption and it wouldn't show up in state gdp calculation. Try adding all the state gdp figures for India and see if it matches with the Indian GDP, it won't. its a meaningless figure at the state level.

GOvt spending is NOT same as govt transfers ra mental. No sane economist will add them

CONSUMPTION is included if only happens with in the relevant borders. And how can consumption happen without good being produced ra mental?

Thats where NET exports come in. If you are consuming by simply importing goods from other regions it is DEDUCTED from GDP.
